Japanese Knotweed Burial Cell Liner System Supplied
We have fabricated and supplied a Japanese Knotweed Burial Cell Liner System for an expert industry based contractor.
Using our Power Scrim barrier membrane a 32m wide x 64m long cell base liner was supplied along with a 17m wide x 52m long lid panel.
The panels of barrier membrane were supplied along with a panel of our HBB 300 protective geotextile and rolls of single (150mm wide x 20m long) and double sided (100mm wide x 15m long) HBB butyl tape.
Once the burial cell was excavated and a layer of sand placed, the 32m wide x 64m long base panel (2048m2 – 870 kilo) was deployed by our clients own personnel.
A further layer of sand was placed over the base liner as a protection layer prior to the deposit of the JKW contaminated soils, once the cell was filled the lid panel was connected to the base panel then covered with a panel of HBB 300 protective geotextile prior to complete burial.
Photographs of the onsite deployment will follow shortly……
Aside from the lining system we also supplied a quantity of HBB 1800 woven geotextile to be used as a separation geotextile in the construction of temporary onsite roads and a quantity of sand bags for weighting the lining system as it was deployed.
